What We Do:

Soroptimist International of the San Tans supports the following projects:

Food drive for Chandler Christian Community Center

  • Making a Difference for Women Awards. For individuals, businesses and organizations that advance the status of women.
     
  • Women’s Opportunity Awards. For women who need training, education or upgraded skills to become employable.
     
  • Violet Richardson Awards. For high school seniors who have made outstanding contributions to home, school, community, country and the world.
     
  • Perform community service projects, food and clothing drives, job-hunting workshops and other support to transitional housing/self-sufficiency centers, domestic violence shelters and community food banks.
     
  • Support for programs and projects in six service areas: Economic and Social Development, Health, Environmental, Education, Human Rights - Status of Women and International Goodwill.
     
  • Support a variety of organizations, literacy and self-sufficiency programs whose focus is to improve the lives of women and children, both locally and internationally.
     
  • Support literacy and self-sufficiency programs for women and children.
     
  • The Desert Cancer Foundation of Arizona. A non-profit organization dedicated to improving the health status of women and their families.
